Ranjit Pal Singh

Social Activist | Public Representative |
General Secretary | Chairman, Punjab State
Traders Commission

Sat Sri Akal.

I am Ranjit Pal Singh.

My journey in public life has been guided by service and responsibility. I did not enter public service for honour or position. My purpose is to stand with people. My aim is to listen to their concerns and work sincerely to resolve them.

I have worked with communities, traders, youth groups, and social organisations. These relations helped me understand the real challenges people face in daily life. Listening has always been essential to me. I try to understand the problem properly when people share their concerns. I connect them with the right authorities so practical solutions can be found.

Let's Contact

Beginning with Social Service (2015–2020)

My public journey started as a grassroots social activist. I supported several social initiatives between 2015 and 2020. Then I met unemployed ETT teachers during their protests and stood with them. I also encouraged youth participation in sports and society moves.

I took part in constitutional awareness programs. This helped people learn about their privileges and duties. I also raised my voice in peaceful demonstrations against violence toward women. I support safety, justice, and dignity in society.

Community service remained important. I actively helped organise Chhabeel, the distribution of sweet water during the summer months. It reflects unity, public welfare, and the spirit of seva.

2020 – Present
District President, Trade Wing (Mohali)

I was later appointed District President of the Trade Wing in Mohali. I represented traders and small business owners. I regularly interacted with shopkeepers and vendors to understand their concerns, particularly regarding taxation policies, compliance procedures, and market challenges. My focus has always been to ensure their voices reach the right authorities.

Key work included representing traders before government departments. This means participating in public grievance redressal camps. I spread awareness about government policies. It supports improvements in public facilities and encourages women’s participation in society initiatives.

State Secretary, Trade Wing – East Malwa Zone

My responsibilities extended across multiple districts as State Secretary for the East Malwa Zone. I worked with trade unions and government departments to address issues involving the trading community.

I helped strengthen coordination between trade bodies and authorities during this period. I participated in discussions on employment and industry support, organised Trade Wing meetings, and took part in industry forums. I supported the “Save Panjab University” movement. This contributed to the restoration of Senate elections at Panjab University.

I visited affected areas in Gurdaspur and Amritsar to support relief efforts during extreme floods in Punjab. The work included distributing rations and clean drinking water. We provided medicines, clean water, and cattle feed while coordinating with social and spiritual organisations running relief camps.

Chairman, Punjab State Traders Commission

Today, I have the privilege to serve as Chairman of the Punjab State Traders Commission (Excise & Taxation). The Commission functions as a bridge between traders and the government. It ensures that the concerns of the trading community are heard and addressed.

General Secretary (Trade), Punjab State

I also serve as General Secretary (Trade), Punjab State, where I work with trader communities across the state. My focus is on strengthening communication between traders and government departments. It addresses practical business concerns related to market challenges and trader welfare.
